When I reread research written several years ago, I'm always amazed at what I put together by following the money, and what I need to get back to. After writing that paper, I spent the next couple of years researching George Herbert Walker and David Atlee Phillips. Walker had died in 1953, so could not have been the one who did the IPO for Textron. Could it, in fact, have been Poppy's Uncle Herbie instead? More research to be done. I'm sorry Anonymous was unable to connect the dots. Probably too busy watching football or some other diversion.

I have also received an email from another reader, which I will honor confidentiality by redacting portions of it:

Hi Linda
I ran across your blog when looking into the death of my maternal grandmother E*** Fielstra. My mother G*** Fielstra B*** recently passed away. It seems that your interests have moved on to other things, but I can confirm, if you're interested, that the Hydes & Fielstras shared a somewhat communal farm in Freehold New Jersey in the 1930s & 40s. I recall my mother mentioning around the time of the JFK assassination that she had "grown up with" Ruth. The women & children lived mostly at the farm & the men commuted into New York City for their employment. My cousin, J**'s daughter, has confirmed that G*** & J*** were considered "red diaper babies". I have many old photographs showing the family groups at the farm and my grandfather continued as a committed leftist until his death. I'd be happy to share more info if you wish.
Thanks
L.O.
Linda Minorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12471408043285695958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6905506070718158368.post-376453782742744402016-01-21T16:33:44.671-06:002016-01-21T16:33:44.671-06:00That's because its the Big Picture and not you...That's because its the Big Picture and not your narrow focus Anonymous.

Well done Linda, Ed LedouxAK.Iciclehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17377037960440449665noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6905506070718158368.post-32956350418808523962015-05-07T13:04:25.757-05:002015-05-07T13:04:25.757-05:00I found this piece very disappointing, without a c...I found this piece very disappointing, without a clear analytical focus and no relstion that I can see to the assassination of JFK.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
